Student Schedules
On the first day of school, all students will receive a new copy of their schedule. Since schedule pick-up we have added a new teacher due to the incredible growth our area has seen. This will cause some schedules to be different than what was picked up at schedule pick-up. We strive to keep the schedule as similar as possible to what was picked up at schedule pick-up.
All students will report to the gym in the morning of the first day of school to receive their official schedule.
- 7th Grade - Competition Gym
- 8th Grade - Practice Gym
STUDENT CHROMEBOOKS/LAPTOPS
Personal laptops/chromebooks are not allowed to be used due to the network security risks these devices pose.
Please see below for important updates so your child can get a device!
- New-to-District Students: If your child is in grades 3-12 and is in need of a device, please enter a help ticket using this link. This information can also be found on the district website.
- 21-22 School Year Broken Device Requests: If a student entered a help ticket for a device repair last school year and they are without a device, please enter a help ticket requesting a new device.
- Summer Broken Device Requests: If a student entered a help ticket for a broken device during the summer, please follow the steps outlined using this link on the district website. Be sure to submit a help ticket to initiate the repair process. Enter a separate help ticket to request a new device.
- Students With Outstanding Device Fees (due to loss, theft or damages): If your student is not in possession of a district-owned device and has not paid fees in Skyward, a help ticket must be submitted so that your child can be issued a loaner device under “need new device”. We ask that all device-related fees are paid no later than Friday, October 28. Failure to pay the outstanding fees may result in consequences that could include the removal of access to a district-owned 1:1 Chromebook/laptop device. Fees can be paid in Skyward via Pay K12 or at your child’s assigned campus.
- Lost/Damaged Device Adapters: If you would like to purchase a replacement power adapter or case/bag for your child, please enter a help ticket found HERE. Once the ticket is received, a fee will be added to your child’s Skyward account. Once the fee is paid, your campus technician will be notified so that they can issue the adapter to your child.
Device Care
It is important that each 1:1 device is handled with care. Please take a few moments to review THIS VIDEO with your child and discuss the importance of device care and usage. We look forward to seeing our students back at school!
- An OPTIONAL Non-Refundable Device Protection Program Fee can be paid to help cover accidental damage for the first incident and provide discounts for subsequent accidental damage incidents. If you choose not to pay the OPTIONAL Non-Refundable Device Protection Fee you are responsible for the cost of repair as identified in the device handbook.
- Click here for Device Protection registration instructions.
- NOTE: If you have already opted for device protection in Skyward, you will see the fee added to your child’s Skyward account during the first week of September. Please be sure to pay the fee at that time via the Skyward portal.

Please be patient during the first few days of school! Traffic is often worse than normal. Our staff is there to keep your child safe - please follow their signals and instructions so we can make the process as safe and quick and possible.
Cell Phones, Wireless Headphones, and Smart Watches
Cell phone use has the potential to cause major distractions within a classroom. A class of 25 students could receive over 1,000 combined cell phone notifications in one class period! Since every student has the opportunity to receive a district device, we will enforce the cell phone guidelines found in the student handbook:
- Telecommunications devices, including cell phones, must be put away and not taken out from the time a student enters the building in the morning until the 4:15pm bell.
- Students may use smart watches, as long as they are using it as a watch. If it is used as a telecommunications device (to text, go on apps, etc.), it is considered a telecommunications device.
- For student safety, earbuds (wireless or wired) may not be worn in class or in the hallways.
- If a student uses a telecommunications device without authorization during the school day, the device will be confiscated. The parent may pick up the confiscated telecommunications device from the office for a fee of $15.
Student IDs
This year, all students will receive a McKinzey Student ID and a lanyard.
You must wear your ID badge at all times while on campus, or at school sponsored events, including athletic events (as spectators). First ID is provided for free, then $5 for replacement IDs.
If you forget your ID, you will need to get new one. If you do not have cash or check to pay for your ID, the fee will be added to your student fine account and must be paid during the school year.
Lunch
Parents are welcome to join their child for lunch! Only those who are authorized on a student's Skyward account will be allowed to have lunch with the student.
Parents are also welcome to drop off lunch for their student. Only those authorized on a student's Skyward account will be allowed to provide food to a student.
Meal delivery services (e.g. Uber Eats, Door Dash), are not allowed to drop off food to students.
