School Namesake

Charlene McKinzey was a dedicated educator, known for her passion for students and teaching. Mrs. McKinzey served as a teacher for over 33 years, twenty of those in Mansfield ISD. Throughout her tenure, she taught English Language Arts at Rogene Worley Middle School, T.A. Howard Middle School and Wester Middle School. She extended her passion and love for students beyond the walls of her classroom into the community at large. Her commitment and educational impact earned her unanimous approval as the building’s namesake. Although Mrs. McKinzey passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer, her legacy lives on throughout Mansfield ISD.
